Scream

Back-to-back scenes with littering in them. First, a policeman stubbing out a cigarette, and second, a TV Reporter van throwing a crisp packet out the window.

Littering Impact
When we first spotted the first scene, we paused the movie, noted the timestamp and what had occurred, then pressed play. What do we see in the very next scene? Another act of littering.

Scene Description

Seeing figures of authority in movies committing littering is a shame. But that’s the problem, isn’t it? If one person does it, then surely that’s fine; we can all do it. This shouldn’t be the case. Here in the scene, the policeman isn’t really enjoying his cigarette; you can tell by his disdainful look when he drops it to the floor and grinds it out with his boot. Next time, please use an ashtray or extinguish it and put it in the bin.

And now to the next scene: the classic driving, and trash goes out the window. I want to shout at the screen to the character who did this, “You can’t do that; take your rubbish home with you.” Can’t we just use advanced technology or computer-generated software to erase this eyesore from our screen? Wouldn’t that be great?
